El pasado lunes 14 de agosto, algunos estudiantes interesados en cómo resolver el cubo de Rubik, tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer y recibir una charla con la speedcuber profesional Sydney Weaver, gracias a la Fundación para la Promoción de las Matemáticas (FUNDAPROMAT), quienes buscan cambiar la percepción del mundo para que todos y cada uno de nosotros podamos experimentar las matemáticas como accesibles, relevantes e inherentemente divertidas.
Sydney Weaver es una joven estadounidense de 25 años, dueña de nueve medallas de oro en torneos de velocidad para resolver el Cubo de Rubik. Además, fue la primera mujer en el mundo en resolver el Cubo de Rubik 6x6 con los ojos vendados.
Los chicos pudieron practicar cada uno con un cubo de Rubik los distintos algoritmos que pueden aprender y utilizar para ir resolviéndolo.
