About our school
OUR HISTORY
In the late 1990s, a group of people from the Kol Shearith Israel community in Panama came together to establish the Isaac Rabin Foundation. This organization would have the mission of developing an educational project that would be a place of elementary and high school education that would transcend the traditional concept of school education, an open, democratic, multicultural, inclusive, and constructivist academic institution with a secular, modern and integrating vision of Jewish identity.

Respectful, supportive, and responsible coexistence among students of different cultural backgrounds, creeds, and convictions has been an unavoidable necessity and a primary commitment since our school’s conception.

In 2000, Colegio Isaac Rabin began its activity in Ciudad del Saber, Panama City, with sixty students.

Very soon, this innovative school stood out in our country's educational environment for its welcoming, humanistic atmosphere and student-centered methodology. Several years after beginning its work, the CIR enhanced its educational offerings by affiliating with the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) in Switzerland. The IBO's educational philosophy and teaching methods align harmoniously with the foundational principles already in place at the school.

After twenty years, the CIR project has more than three hundred students, has graduated 163 students, and continues in a constant process of self-evaluation and improvement, always within the framework of its original educational philosophy.
Our mission
The school is a Jewish-Panamanian educational institution that teaches people to be responsible for personal growth, stimulating knowledge and critical thinking in a multicultural environment with a modern and dynamic approach to Judaism.

We are committed to educating young people to contribute to the enhancement of the world and enable them to be active and supportive members of their communities of origin and beyond.

Our vision
We will develop each student's maximum potential by promoting a culture of educational quality and creating solid ties that enrich the development of professors and scholars in pursuing academic excellence, the spirit of innovation, and the professional success of students and graduates.

Our values
True to its mission, the school promotes the teaching of universal values such as respect, freedom, and peace and strives to make concepts such as Tzedakah (social justice) and Tikkun Olam (enhancement of the world) prevail through action and service, solid practices that have received recognition at the school.
