Science Week
"Sammy Bern z''l"
It is a project in which all students from first to twelfth grade participate on a mandatory basis.
The call is made months in advance. It is the responsibility of the students to meet the stipulated dates of partial deliveries. The teachers in charge evaluate the process and finally award the outstanding projects in each category, according to specific criteria that are worked on in class.
english week
It is an organized and coordinated activity from the English Department that includes various artistic expressions such as theater, songs, poetry and others. It is held every two years and aims to develop cognitive, social and communication skills in the English language. All school students from preschool to twelfth grade participate.
Walking through our towns
It is an activity to celebrate the Month of the Fatherland that is organized every two years. Students turn their classrooms into true representations of the elements of culture that exemplify our identity as a nation, allowing them to take a “walk” through the history and geography of Panama.
National Parades
In the month of November, Panamanians dress as PATRIA. It is the month in which our country celebrates its birthday, it is when the celebrations shine with colorful parades to the rhythm of the bands and the choreography of batuteras, with targets to the sound of bugles, and the tricolor flag appears on the balconies, windows, doors and cars to be relentlessly honored and we sing with more pride and emotion the hymn that unites us in one voice.
Francophone
It is an activity organized by the French Department whose main objective is to promote language learning and to make known the different cultures that are part
of this organization. The students carry out various activities such as: Crepe workshop, internal spelling and number dictation competitions, exhibitions on French-speaking countries, songs, poems and dramatizations.
Cultural week
Since the founding of the school it has been dedicated
one week a year to show the community all the talent that has been developed in the areas of Art, culture and other academic endeavors. It seeks to promote the development of skills through talks and practices with renowned exhibitors. Within the Cultural Week, the Jidón is held, which is an internal contest on topics related to the history of the Jewish people.
March for life
It is the name of the institutional journey of students between the ages of 16 and 18, it represents the culmination of the study of the subject of Shoah (Holocaust). It's a city tour
from Poland and participation of the delegation in the March for Life that gathers young people from all over the world in a walk through the extermination camps. The trip ends in Israel and the delegation participates in cultural and academic activities. The students from the previous year make up a board of directors that organizes the development of activities to support their parents with the costs of the trip, these activities allow them to put into practice their organizational and self-management skills. The school administration is in charge of the control of the funds collected.
CIR radio
Framed within the I Can D'Cir high school program, is our school radio: RadioCir, a dynamic and different communication and information system, in which students
Students have the opportunity to project, enhance, stimulate and / or polish their skills as good communicators, acquire knowledge in new areas (speech, radio technology, etc.), using their organizational and leadership skills, without losing the essence of what they they are: young, in a globalized and interactive world.
David Robles Debate Forum
It started in 2005 as the CIR Debate Club and since 2009 it has changed its name to the Intercollegiate Forum of Debate Clubs "David Robles" which convenes each year delegates from other schools to discuss national and international or global issues that They are interested in their social, political, economic and / or cultural impact.
Galla Fair
School fairs are great for bringing the community together and for each student to show some kind of skill.
The Galla Fair is an activity led by 11th and 12th grade students, together with their teachers, since 2002, and its objective is to offer the CIR community a space for coexistence and family recreation.
