DELF Diplomas

The DELF Diplomas are the internationally recognized official French diplomas, awarded by the French Ministry of National Education. They favor international mobility at an academic level, since they allow the candidate to access French-speaking universities, as well as at a professional level since they represent added value in an increasingly competitive world. These diplomas do not have an expiration date. The Alliance Française of Panama and that of David are the only authorized centers in Panama to perform these exams.

These exams are taken in years III and V MYP and in Twelfth grade. Generally, in year III the A1 exam is taken, in year V the A2 exam and in twelfth grade the B1. However, if the level of the students is higher, they can take the A2 exam in the III year, the B1 in the V year and the B2 in the Twelfth grade.

DELF A1

This level assesses initial skills. This is the most basic level of language use, called "discovery". In this phase, the student is able to carry out simple interactions: he can talk about himself and his immediate environment.

DELF A2

The DELF A2 is situated in the same perspective and also validates the linguistic competences of an elementary user, considered as a social actor. The candidate is already capable of carrying out simple tasks of daily life. He can use the most frequent courtesy and exchange formulas.

DELF B1

At this level, the user becomes independent. Now, he is able to maintain an interaction: he can understand and maintain a discussion, give advice and express opinions, he also knows how to deal with unforeseen situations in everyday life.

DELF B2

This level allows the user to argue to defend their opinion, develop their point of view and negotiate. The user Dominates social discourse and is able to correct his own mistakes.
